I enjoyed being able to go to the beach with Jessica, Rory, and especially Mack. He is such a sweet little boy. He is lovable and friendly and boy is he independent. He wants to do everything for himself, except for asking me to get grapes for him. He would ask me to wash them for him and put them on his plate and then he would carry them back to the chair...trying not to drop them. He wanted to use a bent straw like chop sticks to eat grapes and cheeze its. Then he put his cheese puffs on a fork. He slept in the room with me on a chaise lounge and when I would wake up, he would wait for me to sit up and look at him before he would move. We would get up and cut off my machine and his sound machine and then I would make him go to the bathroom. As soon as he was done though he was ready to go find his mommy. Every morning he would have warm milk then chocolate milk. When we got to the house they realized they had not brought any toys so he goes to the kitchen and finds the measuring cups and wood spoons and plays with those. He would make cake sometimes and other times he would pretend to drink juice or coffee or water out of the cups.
We would sit around and have coffee first then eat breakfast before going to the beach. Mack loved sitting in the little channels and playing with the sand buckets and shovels. I got him interested in picking up shells so we would wander up and down the beach looking for big ones then he would run to rinse them off and take them to his daddy to put in the holes of the table. If I headed toward the water he would start running and say "I'm coming" ...it was just so cute. He loved when I would bounce him in the waves. He would just laugh and want me to do it again.
We went to eat at Fat Patties and Jessica ordered him cheese toast and fries and we had pimento cheese dip with chips and let me tell you...this boy loves him some chips. He started eating his fries and said that they were hot. We all wondered about it because our fries weren't not spicy, but he kept eating them. When we were almost done Rory gets one of Mack's fries and dips it in ketchup and said that sure enough his fries were spicy and turns out Rory had given him the spicy ketchup as well.
On the way there I started sneezing and my head got all stopped up and Rory kept making fun of me because I was stopped up. I told him we needed to get some ice cream and maybe that would make me all better LOL. We went to the Dairy Queen and I asked Mack which he liked chocolate or vanilla and he didn't have to think at all...he said "vanilla". He got a vanilla milkshake and drank most of it on the way home.
