Mack spends the night - May 2021

Mack spent the night with me and Bennett during my week of vacation. We went to the store and bought a little pool for Mack and a float for me. We stopped on the way home and got shaved ice and Mack go Cotton Candy, Bennett got pina colada and I got a fruit colada (mine was delicious). We got home and I changed into my swim suit and hauled everything outside and put Mack in the pool and told him to fill it up with the hose. I had to blow up the float with the air hose in my car and by the time I got it ready and went to join Mack he was already done - he said "I'm going inside". I tried to persuade him to stay out with me a little longer and he did lay on the float for just a minute, but then he was up and gone. I said "well, heck I have blown up this float so I am going to lay here for a little while...so I chilled with the sprinkler and listened to some music and let Bennett pacify Mack. Mack finally came back out for a few minutes and helped me water the flowers.

The first thing he wanted to do as soon as we got out of the shower was to put his train out on the table - he loves to play with trains at my house.

We watched Frozen and then watched Professor Gadget after supper. The next morning I cooked bacon and eggs and vienna weiners for breakfast and Mack was having fun with Bennett eating the bacon. Bennett would aggravate him and tell him not to eat it and he would shove it in his mouth and just laugh. Bennett asked him where bacon came from and Mack said "nana cooked it" lol..so then he asked him where did chicken come from and Mack didn't even think about it and said "Chik-fil-a". Bennett died laughing.

After breakfast, I asked Mack if he wanted to go back out and play in the pool and he didn't hesitate and said "no, I want to stay inside".

I had to make a cheesecake for Josh's birthday so Mack wanted to help. He loves to sit on the bar and help so I let him pour in the sugar and then he wanted to hold the mixer. He did good, but I made a mess...ended up getting cheesecake all over the bar.

By the time I got the cheesecake mixed and cooking Mack was tired and irritable. Bennett was going to try and put him in the bed for a nap, but Mack wasn't having anything to do with that. He started crying and wanted me to take him to bed. He picked out one of my favorite books 'I love you in all seasons'. He turned his sound machine on and wanted me to lay with him for a few minutes. After I gathered all the bears and laid them beside him, I kissed him and hugged him and told him I would come back and get him when he woke up. He just smiled and closed his eyes and rolled over.

He is growing up so quickly and he is such a joy to be around...and boy-what an attitude, but he is just so stinking sweet.
